About Dr Moss Siddle, producer of the Vet Check App for iPhone.

I graduated from Queensland University School of Veterinary Science in 1991. My first job was in the Australian outback. For 3 years I worked in a beef cattle & coal mining centre in Central Queensland before heading to the UK for a further 3 years.

I worked in a variety of locations in England & travelled extensively in Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Africa ,USA & Canada before returning to Australia. I settled in beautiful Olinda village near Melbourne & established Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in 1999. My family & I enjoy the magnificent natural environment of the Dandenong Ranges.

Our pet family currently consists of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Nala, a cat named Herod, a rabbit named Liqourice & a guinea pig named Smokey.

The idea for producing the VetCheck app was born soon after iPhones came into existence. After seeing new pet owners in the variety of practices I have worked in struggling to remember details about their pets & their current preventative medicine schedules, I decided to produce an app that could have this information on their phone whenever they needed it. It wasn’t until I met Alex from Diversity Group with his expert development knowledge that the idea could become a reality. Not only is the app useful it also has a depth of information about veterinary medical problems, useful tips & some fun with the trivia section. The pet age to human years conversion that appears for dogs, cats & horses on the Pets page is one of my favourite fun features!
